A concentrator classifies printers into a group according to the function of the printers connected via a communication network and includes a storage unit for storing a VLAN table containing a virtual address corresponding to each group. When a monitoring unit receives data destined to a virtual address, it references the VLAN table and performs control to transmit the received data to all the printers belonging to the group corresponding to the virtual address. Thus, it is possible to eliminate trouble of concentration of jobs to a particular information processing device and to provide a concentrator capable of rapidly performing data transfer processing.
