<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system capable of preventing production of prints which a user does not expect. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming system includes: an image forming apparatus which has first to third image carriers 1, 10, and 100 and transfers developed images to both sides of a recording medium such that the developed images transferred via the first to third image carriers 1, 10, and 100 are transferred to one side of the recording medium and the developed image transferred via the first and second image carriers 1 and 10 are transferred to the other side of the recording medium; a color document reading device which color-converts a read document into KCMY image data; and an image forming means which develops the KCMY image data with the plurality of image carriers 1. In the image forming system, warning is provided using a display function and the start of image formation is prohibited, in the case where an instruction is given to write on both sides at the same time so that consecutive images are written on transfer paper which is longer in its conveyance direction than a critical length in the transfer direction of an image transferrable to the third image carriers 100 from the second image carriers 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
