<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brush element for cleaning the inside of a pipe, which can flexibly pass through the inside of the pipe of small bending radius of curvature R, which is easily operated and has high corrosion resistance and which does not damage the inner surface of the pipe, and to provide a production method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The brush element for cleaning the inside of the pipe is provided with a brush section which comes into contact with the inner surface of the pipe to perform cleaning and a shaft section which is constituted by applying a fluororesin coating film 14 onto superelastic alloy strand wires 11, 12, 13 and which transmits operating force to the brush section while supporting the brush section.
