PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop outputting an alarm signal form an external auxiliary switching unit by resetting a circuit breaker after the alarm signal is outputted by detecting the tripping operation of the circuit breaker. SOLUTION: In this auxiliary switching unit, an auxiliary contact mechanism 4 following the on/off-operation of the circuit breaker 2, and an alarm contact mechanism operating by detecting the tripping of the circuit breaker are equipped, and the alarm contact mechanism is linked to the alarm output plate 7 of the circuit breaker. An operating arm 5g integrally connected to the contact holder 5d of the alarm contact mechanism and projected into a breaker case from a unit case 3 is provided, and the alarm output plate is made to carry the operating arm in the on/off-state of the circuit breaker to hold the alarm contact mechanism at an off-position. If the circuit breaker is tripped from this state, the alarm output plate cancels the carrying of the operating arm, and turns on the alarm contact mechanism to output the alarm signal. If the circuit breaker is reset after tripping, the alarm output plate pushes up the operating arm to reset the alarm contact mechanism to the off-position, and the output of the alarm signal is stopped.
