PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To load a label or a transfer ribbon with no trouble and to align the print line of a print head surely with the center line of a print roller. SOLUTION: In the label printer 1 for printing on a label fed between a print head 17 and a print roller 13 by means of the print head 17, the print roller 13 can be attached removably to a frame 22 supporting the roller and a print roller retainer 23 is provided in order to regulate movement of the print roller 13 in the direction of the central axis of rotation while being attached to the frame 22. Furthermore, a positioning pin 23d is provided in the print roller retainer 23 and a positioning groove 17a engaging with the positioning pin 23d is provided in the print head 17.
