SUPER-CONDUCTIVE CABLE

A super-conductive cable includes: a former (2); a super-conductive layer (3) formed on the outer circumference of the former (2); an electrically insulating layer (4) formed on the outer circumference of the conductive layer (3); a shield layer (6) formed on the outer circumference of the insulating layer (4); and a normally conductive metal layer (5) formed between the insulation layer (4) and the shield layer (6). The normally conductive metal layer (5) existing inside the shield layer (6) has a greater inductance than the shield layer (6), thereby suppressing temperature increase of the super-conductive layer when an accident such as shortcircuit has occurred and reducing the AC loss during normal current flowing because more current flows by the shield layer (6).
