NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-reliability nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having a structure forming a low-resistance in-battery circuit capable of restraining a battery temperature rise in an internal short circuit.

SOLUTION: This nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is equipped with: a battery case 11 for housing an electrode plate group 14 composed by rolling a first electrode 15, a second electrode plate 16 and a separator 17; a first lead 15a for connecting the first electrode plate to the battery case; and a second lead 16a for connecting the second electrode plate to a terminal 12a formed on a sealing plate 12. The first electrode plate comprises a first active material provision part and a first lead provision part; and the second electrode plate comprises a second active material provision part, a second lead provision part and a second exposure part positioned at the outermost circumference of the electrode plate group. Resistance from an end on the first lead side of the first active material provision part in a collector of the first electrode plate to an end on the battery case side of the first lead is below 5 mΩ.
