PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric heater, capable of securing connection between first and second retaining frames and a side frame, while being easy to assemble and excellent in productivity. SOLUTION: The electric heater comprises the first and second regaining frames 21, 22 on both end surfaces in laminating direction of a heating body 3, and the side frame 1 for integrating the heating body 3 by applying compressive force. The first and second retaining frames 21, 22 have a hollow body having openings 213, 223, and 224. The side 1 has first and second fixing pieces 11, 12 to be inserted into the openings 213, 214, 223, 224 respectively to fix the side frame 1. The first and second retaining frame 21, 22 and/or the first and second fixing pieces 11, 12 have an engaging part to engage two of them. The first retaining frame 21 and the first fixing piece 11 are engaged and the second retaining frame 22 and the second fixing piece 12 are engaged respectively in the engaging part.
