PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk cartridge capable of exposing a region ranging from one outer edge to the opposite outer edge while interposing the center hole of a disk-like recording medium, and avoiding the damage of the disk-like recording medium caused by force applied to a cartridge body. SOLUTION: The disk-like recording medium is accommodated into the cartridge body 2, having a lower shell and an upper shell 4 that are formed so that they can fit each other. In the lower shell, an opening 3a for disk access is formed. The opening 3a can expose the region ranging from one outer edge to the opposite outer edge while interposing the center hole of the disk-like recording medium accommodated into the cartridge body 2. In the upper shell 4, a reinforcing member 7 is fixed onto the inner surface.
