<p>The invention relates to a winding mechanism (1) for winding a cord (2) for a folding blind onto an elongate rotatable winding drum (15) having a first end to which the one end of the cord (2) is secured and a second end. The drum (15) has a first portion (16) with a diameter which is smaller than the diameter of a second portion (17) of the drum (15). The winding mechanism (1) has an introduction portion (6) which protrudes radially in relation to the drum (15) and which defines, at the second portion of the drum (15), an area of introduction, where the cord (2) is conveyed into the mechanism (1). According to the invention the mechanism (1) has a protrusion (23) which is fixed in relation to the drum (15) and extends in a direction along the drum (15) across a part of the periphery of the drum (15) to establish a receiving area (19) on the drum (15) for a site (2') on the cord (2) which has, by turning of the drum (15), just been introduced into the mechanism (1). Protrusion (23) defines an abutment means (24) oriented transversally to the longitudinal direction of the drum (15) and intended for cord (2") already wound onto the drum (15), whereby said site (2') on the cord (2) is, while the cord (2) is being wound by rotation of the drum (15), conveyed past said abutment means (24) in abutment thereon and in a direction towards the first end of the drum (15).</p> |
