<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load on the work of a user in image layout confirmation. <P>SOLUTION: An image layout device sequentially displays image components listed on a list region section 20 on a display region 12 on a edit region section 10. The user confirms the image components sequentially displayed on the display region 12 to prepare the layout of a postal card, business card, greeting card and the like. Furthermore, the image layout device sequentially displays picture components of different categories on the respective areas of the display region 12.
