<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a contingency of collision between a photographing lens barrel and an obstacle even if a camera is operated when a communication between a digital camera and a printer is completed in a photographing mode state wherein the photographing lens barrel is projected from the digital camera. <P>SOLUTION: The digital camera is characterized in that the digital camera detects connection of a communication cable and confirms a present operating mode when detecting the connection of the communication cable (step S101), and when the result of confirmation indicates a photographing mode, the digital camera retract the photographing lens barrel into an electronic camera main body (steps S102, S103). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
