<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system, and its operation method, with improved durability through restraint of performance degradation caused by an oxide accreting to a surface of an electrode due to oxygen infiltrating during stop of operation. <P>SOLUTION: Durability of the fuel cell system is improved by eluting an oxide or the like accreting to the electrodes and restraining degradation due to stop of driving, through lowering of potentials of the electrodes in starting of operation from the stop, in a fuel cell composed of electrolyte 1, a pair of electrodes 4a, 4c, and a pair of separators 7a, 7c. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
