<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation apparatus which can carry out image formation by a high image quality at a high speed. <P>SOLUTION: Hole parts 26 are formed on an endless belt 24 in accordance with an arrangement of unit recording heads 32. Ink droplets are discharged (dummy jetted) by the unit recording heads 32 by a timing when the hole parts 26 are detected by a hole part detection sensor 42. In other words, the timing when the unit recording head 32 and the hole part 26 are opposed to each other can be precisely detected in spite of sliding of the endless belt 24 to a driving roll 20. Therefore, the ink droplets which pass the hole parts 26 by a timing when no paper is present even in the middle of continuous image formation are surely held in an ink receiving member 40, so that the good ink droplet discharging performance can be maintained.
