<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter which has a catheter tube with the distal end deformed into an arbitrary shape. <P>SOLUTION: This catheter is equipped with the catheter tube 2 with a tubular member 20 to be bent at the distal end, first operational wires 30R and 30L each with distal end fixed on the tubular member 20, and a first operational means for bending the distal end bending part 4 of the catheter tube 2 by pulling the first operational wire 30R or 30L. Furthermore, the catheter is equipped with a deflecting member 50, which has a flexible member 54 mounted on the distal end and makes movements relative to the catheter tube 2 in the axial direction, and second operational wires 52R and 52L each with distal end fixed on both surfaces of the distal end of the deflecting member 50. The first operational wires 30R and 30L are fixed at the arbitrary positions to the catheter tube 2 by moving the deflecting member 50 in an E direction or F direction and by deflecting the deflecting member 50 in a C direction or D direction through pulling the second operational wires 52R or 52L. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
