<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a freshness retention method and a long term preservation method for collected Nemacystus decipiens and cultured Caulerpa lentillifera. <P>SOLUTION: This preservation method comprises washing Nemacystus decipiens or Caulerpa lentillifera in seawater followed by washing in ozone seawater, putting the product in a polyethylene bag together with the ozone seawater, pouring nitrogen gas into the bag followed by sealing the bag and preserving at normal temperature or by quick freezing. Alternatively, the method comprises washing the product in ozone seawater, draining, packing in a container or a can and preserving by quick freezing. The quick frozen product can be preserved through thawing in ozone seawater, putting in a polyethylene bag together with the ozone water and pouring nitrogen gas thereinto. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
