PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio video unit using a remote control operation unit with which an optimum value of much more functions can be set with the small number of keys. SOLUTION: A target setting mode is selected from a plurality of setting modes by one setting mode selection key 32 installed in the remote control operation unit 28. The setting mode is displayed on a display device 26, and a stored setting value is called from a non-volatile memory 16. When the new setting value is stored at the setting mode, a sound volume value is changed by an operation of a volume key in the remote control operation unit 28, a volume key 36, for example, and the setting mode selection key 32 is operated for not less than three seconds.
