PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swing arm type suspension device capable of reducing the number of parts of the suspension device, and reducing the assembly man hour, the weight and the cost. SOLUTION: In the swing arm type suspension device in which a base end part of a swing arm 13 to pivotably support a rear wheel 12 on the tip side is mounted on a pivot 11 provided on a pivot plate 8 in a swinging manner, an upper end part of the cushion unit 14 is mounted on the swing arm 13, and a lower end part of the cushion unit 14 is connected to the pivot plate 8 below the pivot 11 via a link mechanism 15, an opening unit 80A to open a cushion arrangement space part H above the swing arm 13 is formed in an upper portion of the swing arm 13, and at least one of a sub tank 57 and an adjuster 56 which are functional components of the cushion unit 14 is disposed in the opening unit 80A.
