The invention relates to a prosthetic open-work knit fabric (1) comprising a central strip (2) and two lateral strips (3), the elasticity of the knit fabric in the central band (2) being greater than that in each of the lateral strips (3). The invention is characterised in that the fabric comprises: (i) at least two base webs which extend at least over the entire surface of the central strip (2), said two base webs being mesh webs and defining a first weave; and (ii) at least two additional webs which only extend over the respective surfaces of the lateral strips (3), said two additional webs being inlay webs and defining a second weave. The invention also relates to the use of one such knit fabric (1) for the production of a prosthetic product for surgical use. The invention further relates to a support implant (4) for the treatment of prolapses and stress incontinence, which is obtained by cutting one such knit fabric (1), and to the knit fabric (1) production method.
