<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing utensil, an ink exhaustion sign of which can be easily detected, in the writing instrument having a structure for supplying, to a pen point serving as a writing part, an ink for writing instruments such as water-based ink, an oil-based ink or the like contained in an ink occluding body in a barrel. <P>SOLUTION: In the writing utensil for supplying the ink impregnated in the ink occluding body 15 in a barrel 12 to a pen point 40 serving as a writing part, the ink impregnated in the ink occluding body 15 is supplied to the pen point 40 via an ink guide tube 30 which is formed of a thermoplastic resin having visibility and forms an ink repelling layer on a face adjacent to at least an ink, and the ink exhaustion sign from the ink occluding body 15 is detected by visually confirming the ink guide tube 30 via a visual confirming section 10 formed on the barrel 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
