<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data recording device keeping a recording speed even when newly recording other data to an address wherein data are logically erased, in equipment using a recording device such as a flash memory as a recording medium and recording and managing data by file management information such as a FAT that is a data file recording format specification of a PC. <P>SOLUTION: A system control means 11 searches for a free area of a memory card 10 on the basis of the file management information inside the memory card 10, and previously electrically erases the free area to allow high-speed data writing when recording the data. Thereby, the problem is solved, wherein, in the memory card or the like using the flash memory, when recording the moving image or the image having the large data amount, the data may be unrecorded in real time by reduction of the recording speed when overwriting the data to an area recorded with the data once, because the flash memory is the recording device not allowing overwriting. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
