PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder capable of searching image data recorded on a hard disk at high speed. SOLUTION: Video signals inputted from a camera 10 are detected by a motion detection section 14, and a difference in results of the detection is recorded on a hard disk 18 as the additional information of image data. In reproduction, the presence/absence of motion within a set range is detected on the basis of the additional information of the image data and when there is the motion, the image data recorded on the hard disk 18 are outputted on a monitor television set 23.
