PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent image persistence of a liquid crystal panel due to disturbance of synchronous signals in a liquid crystal television. SOLUTION: The counter 15a of a liquid crystal display control device 15 detects cycles of a horizontal synchronous signal and a vertical synchronous signal. A comparator 15b compares a count value with the predetermined minimum Min value and the maximum Max value. If the count value is out of a range, a synchronous pulse generator 15c generates a synchronous pulse at a timing within a predetermined range. A selector 15e outputs an input synchronous signal when the cycle is within the range, and outputs a synchronous pulse from the synchronous signal generator 15c when the cycle is out of the range.
