The device has a base (250) with concentric conductive tracks (270). Hollow shafts (260) pass at right angles through the centers of the conductive tracks. Pointers (210) with an electrical light emitting element (280) are attached by a flange to the respective hollow shaft. The sides of the pointers facing the base have a number of concentric circular-section-like conductive tracks, the projection of which meets the circular tracks on the base. A number of electrodes of elastic material are attached to the circular-section-like tracks to form electrical contacts to the tracks on the base.
