The multiple communication interfaces have packet type interface, TDM type interface, and additional interface that belongs to the group containing the packet type and TDM type interfaces. A gateway (1114) with loop function, transmits user traffic between interworking packet and TDM type interfaces. An independent claim is also included for access network system.
