A transless lamp power supply device of a joint endoscope system is provided to rectify commercial AC power and supply proper DC power without using a transformer by using a PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) method. A rectifier(10) is used for rectifying commercial AC power. A first PWM voltage controller(20) converts the rectified DC power of the rectifier to an open circuit voltage of a lamp(60). A second PWM voltage controller(30) outputs the open circuit voltage of the first PWM voltage controller(20) or converts the open circuit voltage to a voltage necessary for a continuous emission operation. An ignition coil part(40) outputs the output voltage of the second PWM voltage controller(30) or converts the output voltage of the second PWM voltage controller(30) to a high voltage necessary for lighting the lamp(60). A current monitoring part(50) senses the flow of current between the ignition coil part and the lamp(60). A control unit(100) applies a pulse width control signal to the first PWM voltage controller(20) to output the voltage corresponding to the open circuit voltage, applies an ignition signal to the ignition coil part(40) to generate the high voltage, and applies a pulse width control signal to the second PWM voltage controller(30) to output the voltage necessary for the lamp(60).
