<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the occurrence of defective cleaning of a patch picture in an image forming apparatus of forming the patch picture for picture quality adjustment. <P>SOLUTION: When the patch picture is formed on a transfer conveyance belt 216, the patch pictures of cyan, magenta, yellow and black are formed on positions different respectively with respect to the main scanning direction (the direction vertical to a moving direction of the transfer conveyance belt 216) and, thereby, a load applied on a blade 235 as a cleaning means is dispersed in the main scanning direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
