<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacant seat guide/reservation method for public transport and a vacant seat guide/reservation system for the public transport which assist users in comfortable travels and encourage aged passengers or the like feeling disabled, to utilize the public transport by displaying seats being vacant or seats scheduled to be vacant in a vehicle to allow users to efficiently secure seats in the riding order. <P>SOLUTION: The vacant seat guide/reservation system is provided with; a vacant seat guide/reservation device which displays seats being vacant or seats scheduled to be vacant in the vehicle, in an entrance part of the vehicle before user's riding in the vehicle and has an input/output device for making reservations for seats being vacant or seats scheduled to be vacant; a seat confirmation device arranged for each seat; and an information processing means which stores information from the vacant seat guide/reservation device and the seat confirmation devices and performs vacant seat guide/reservations correspondingly to data from the input/output device of the vacant seat guide/reservation device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
