<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable type article discriminating apparatus having a function for teaching predetermined information regarding the article to a user by sounds or vibrations when a tag provided on a certain article is not read within a predetermined period of time including a predetermined time. <P>SOLUTION: First, a processing unit 16 stores sound information (including the information of a designated time) which is input from a sound inputting unit 12 in a storage unit 13 by making it correspond to the identification element of a tag which is provided on a predetermined article. When the specified tag has not been read by a reading unit 11 by the time when a present time at a clock functional unit 14 and the designated time stored in the storage unit 13 become a specified relationship, the processing unit 16 outputs a sound to urge, e.g., an action regarding the article from a sound outputting unit 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
