<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diffusing sheet capable of improving appearance defects such as the unevenness of a light guide plate and luminance unevenness without lowering the luminance significantly. <P>SOLUTION: The diffusing sheet for a back light unit of a liquid crystal display device is 8.5 to 32% in the haze of the diffusing sheet. The diffusing sheet is obtained by using a roll-shaped transfer prototype having a minute rugged shape on its surface and transferring the shape to a film to be transferred.
