<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve conventional problems in which labor and time are needed for a wiring change operation or the like concerning a closure for a communication cable and in which a variety of lengths is required to cause increase in cost. <P>SOLUTION: The closure for a communication cable is composed of a sleeve S which is formed with a nearly constant cylindrical shape in the cross section vertical to the longitudinal direction and which is separable by a notch formed longitudinally, a connecting member C which connects the separable sleeve, and a sleeve closing combined unit P which has grommets G held between an inner side-plate member 8 and an outer side-plate 9 and which can be fitted to the opening at both ends of the sleeve. In accordance with the variation in the variety of lengths of the closures for a communication cable, the sleeve can be used by suitably cutting it. Therefore, in comparison with the conventional closures for which a sleeve with a different length constituting the closure has to be each formed for example by extrusion or injection molding, not only is the productivity of the closures increased, but the cost of the closures is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
