<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for treating a heat insulating chlorofluorocarbon-containing cold iron source by which heat insulating chlorofluorocarbon is decomposed stably and the cost effectiveness of which is improved. <P>SOLUTION: This method for treating the heat insulating chlorofuorocarbon-containing cold iron source being a scrapped automatic vending machine and/or a scrapped refrigerator, in each of which a chlorofluorocarbon-containing heat insulating material is contained, by throwing the cold iron source in a cold iron source melting furnace or a converter comprises the steps of: removing the chlorofluorocarbon being a cooling medium from the scrapped automatic vending machine and/or the scrapped refrigerator; covering the outside of the cooling medium-removed heat insulating chlorofluorocarbon-containing cold iron source with a steel plate; and throwing the steel plate-covered heat insulating chlorofluorocarbon-containing cold iron source into the cold iron source melting furnace or the converter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
