PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary device for attachment and detachment of a vehicle seat that is simple and of low cost, capable of contributing to reduction of burden of a worker and improvement to work efficiency in attaching a seat to a car body or removing the seat from the car body. SOLUTION: The vehicle seat is provided with a carriage 10 comprising a base 11, casters 12 to make the base 11 movable, a support 13 provided to stand on the base 11, an arm installed on the support 13 to be capable of elevating while maintaining a roughly horizontally extended state, an elevation means 30 to elevate the arm to the support 13, and a holding means 40 installed on the free end side of the arm to be capable of holding the seat 1. As the seat 1 is held on the holding means 40 installed on the arm, the arm can be elevated by the elevation means 30, and the carriage 10 can be moved in a desired direction through the casters 12.
