Middle armrest console (18) of car is longitudinally displaceable between two outside seats of car rear seat bank (3), which comprises middle seat (10) movable from no-use position into usable position and vice versa between both outside seats. In no-use position of middle seat, aperture (14) is formed between outside seats, through which middle console can be pushed into storage space (26) of car, e.g. boot, behind rear seat bank. Typically middle console is slidably fitted above lowerable cushion (19) of middle seat.
