The sawing machine (10) has a guide portal and has several three-phase electric motors (26,28,30,50). The motors can drive a band saw, a sliding carriage (48) with a clamp (52) and other fittings. The motors are connected to a control system and a three-phase power supply. The control system has a frequency converter feeding variable frequency three-phase current to the motors, which are connected in parallel, to rotate at the same speed. Current for movable motors passes through wires accommodated inside flexible hoses (32). |
