LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY APPARATUS

An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to prevent optical sheets from being wrinkled even when heat is generated from a light providing unit by fixing the optical sheets using a fixing protrusion, to thereby improve display quality of the LCD. An LCD includes an LCD panel, a light providing unit(200), and the first and second mold frames(300,400). The LCD panel displays images using light. The light providing unit provides light to the LCD panel. Optical sheets(230) are interposed between the light providing unit and the LCD panel and focus the light to provide the focused light to the LCD panel. The first mold frame accommodates the light providing unit and the optical sheets. The second mold frame prevent particles from being introduced into the light providing unit and has a fixing protrusion(430) for fixing the optical sheets. The first and second mold frames are combined with each other.
