The device is of conical shape (16) with a flange-like area (18) at the front (20), surrounded by a circular cutting edge (12). The rear end (10) can be joined to a booster or converter in order to be provided with longitudinal vibrations. The particular shape of the device causes the linear inserted vibrations to move the cutting edge (12) in a circular motion. The cutting edge (12) can be used in different angles in relation to the material to be cut.
