In a pressurized dispensing container, in which a fluent product 4, e.g. liquid or gas, is separated from a pressurized propellant 5 by a free piston 3, a viscous fluid substance chemically inert to both product and propellant is positioned to form a sealing fillet 6 between the piston and the container wall, and serves to isolate the product from the propellant. The substance may be a viscous cream, paste or grease, and is of sufficient volume to form a coating lining the container wall in the wake of the piston as it moves, and still acting to isolate the product from the propellant at the end of the piston movement, as shown in dotted lines. Clearance is provided between the piston and the container wall to receive the fillet.
