<p>An inkjet printer includes a recording head (14), a spacer (20), a wiping member (44), a first ink absorbing member (50a,50b), and an ink releasing member (50c). The recording head (14) includes an ejection surface (16) in which a plurality of ejection ports for ejecting ink are defined. The ejection surface (16) faces a medium transport path. The spacer (20) is disposed in a periphery of the recording head (4) and includes a facing surface (20a), which faces the medium transport path. The wiping member (44) wipes the ejection surface (16). The first ink absorbing member (50a,50b) that is disposed at a gap between the ejection surface (16) and the spacer (20) and absorbs ink flowing into the gap between the recording head (14) and the spacer (20) when the wiping member (44) wipes the ejection surface (16). The ink releasing member (50c) is connected to the first ink absorbing member (50a,50b) and discharges the ink absorbed by the first ink absorbing member (50a,50b) from the gap between the ejection surface (16) and the spacer (20). <IMAGE></p> |
