<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide mold powder which restrains the development of dusting as the weak point of the powdery mold powder, improves the spreading property, restrains the absorption of moisture in the air at the time of storing and can easily pass through an automatic supplying machine. SOLUTION: The mold powder for continuously casting a steel is blended with one or more kinds selected from group composed of silicone oil, fluid paraffin and ethylene glycol at 0.001-10wt.% to the powdery mold powder or granular mold powder consisting essentially of a base raw material, SiO2 raw material, melting adjusting agent and melting speed adjusting agent. Further, as the other formation, the mold powder is blended with one or more kinds selected from group composed of the silicone oil, fluid paraffin and ethylene glycol at 0.001-10wt.% to the powdery mold powder or the granular mold powder consisting essentially of the base raw material, SiO2 raw material and melting adjusting agent.</p> |
