The control chamber discharge channel of a thermodynamic steam trap contains an annular baffle which surrounds and contacts the entry port. As illustrated, the baffle 20 combines with the entry port to form an upwardlydirected channel, although the channel may be formed in the baffle itself, Fig. 5 (not shown). The top of the baffle is below the lowest level of the floating disc 18. The presence of the baffle increases the height to which the disc is raised by condensate so that the latter may flow through the trap at a greater rate.</p> |
