SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONVERSION BETWEEN GRAPH-BASED REPRESENTATIONS AND STRUCTURAL TEXT-BASED REPRESENTATIONS OF BUSINESS PROCESSES

Conversion between graphical representations and structural text-based representations of business process. A set of identifiable features and associated pattern mappings is defined. Graphical representations are converted by identifying features and referring to associated pattern mappings to define an equivalent structural text-based representation. Appropriate structural text-based representations are converted by determining features for the graphical representations based on the associat ed pattern mappings that are determined to correspond to the structural text-based representations.
