A method for processing a retransmission of A1 block/unblock messages in a mobile communication system is provided not to transmit an A1 message which is contrary to an A1 message for driving a T1 timer when A1 block/unblock messages are retransmitted owing to the expiry of the T1 timer, thereby preventing trunk line resource states from discording with each other between an MSC and a BSC. A BSC initializes all flag values of CICs(Circuit Identity Codes)(S20). When a state of a time slot is changed(S22), the BSC reports the changed state to an MSC through A1 block/unblock messages(S24). The BSC drives a T1 timer to wait for an A1 block/unblock response message(S26). The BSC decides whether the response message is received before the TI timer expires(S28). If not, the BSC confirms a flag value of a DB corresponding to a CIC of the time slot(S32), and decides whether the confirmed flag value is identical with a state of an A1 message which drives the T1 timer(S34). If not, the BSC does not retransmit the A1 block/unblock messages to the MSC(S38).
