Method for machining a workpiece surface

In a surface finishing process a fine polishing/cooling/lubricating agent is applied to the rotating work piece surface in small quantities. Following the polishing process the polishing agent is lifted from the surface by a finishing tape and removed. The polishing/cooling/lubricating agent is a mixture of air and oil with further additives.
