An apparatus for detecting the multi-band partial discharge is provided to detect the inner state of the electronic device by measuring the partial discharge generated inside of the electronic device. An apparatus(100) for detecting the multi-band partial discharge includes a coupler(110), a transient voltage protection circuit(120), a pre-amplifier(130), a noise filter(140), a distributor(150), a bandpass filter(160), a main amplifier(170), a modulation circuit(180), a display device(190), a synchronization circuit(115) and a phase zero-point recognition circuit(125). The coupler(110) is installed inside or outside of the arbitrary electronic device to detect the partial discharge signal. The transient voltage protection circuit(120) is installed on the rear end of the coupler(110) to protect the system from the transient voltage. The pre-amplifier(130) is installed the rear end of the transient voltage protection circuit(120) to amplify the small signal detected by the coupler(110). The noise filter(140) removes the noise mixed into the signal outputted from the pre-amplifier(130). The distributor(150) divides the signal inputted through the noise filter(140) into the multi-band. The main amplifier(170) amplifies the signal filtered by the bandpass filter(160). The display device(190) displays the final output signal passing through the modulation circuit(180). The synchronization circuit(115) is installed on the rear end of the coupler(110) to detect the relation between the partial discharge signal and the applied voltage phase. The phase zero-point recognition circuit(125) is installed on the rear end of the synchronization circuit(115) to detect the rising time of the applied voltage.
