The invention relates to a method for regenerating catalysts which catalyze the reduction of nitrogen oxides in the molecular nitrogen, which are essentiall y comprised of titanium oxide TiO2, tungsten oxide WO3 and of the active constituent vanadi um oxide V2O5, and which are constructed as ceramic bodies, preferably in a plate or honeycomb structure. The inventive method is characterized in that the catalyst is mov ed in a cleaning solution and is subjected to an ultrasonic treatment.
