To prevent corrosion, the outer peripheral edge 20b of the metallic reflector 20 of a headlamp unit is positioned within an annular rebate in the periphery 10b of the lens 10 and the rebate is at least, partly filled with jointing material such as an epoxy resin adhesive. Preferably the inner peripheral edge 20a is sealed within the unit by means of jointing material 60 placed between the reflector and the lampholder 50. |
