A car pool method using telematics is provided to confirm a position of a car telematics subscriber by a GPS antenna of a car when the subscriber inputs a peripheral car pool menu, and to automatically call a person who has the same destination to confirm an exact position of the person, thereby enabling a car pool. An MTS(Mobile Telematics System) head unit is turned on(110). A system tracks a satellite signal by using a GPS antenna, and perceives a current self position(120). The system inputs a car pool intention through the head unit, and receives a car pool applicant list(130,140). The system inputs a car pool intention of a cellular phone owner, and confirms a current position of the owner(150,160). The system compares whether a car position is identical with the current position(170). If so, the system displays the applicant list on a display monitor of the head unit(180). The system selects one of applicants to make a call with the applicant, and perceives an exact position of the applicant(190,200). The system enables a car pool(210). |
