An anti-chemical upper plate for an experimental bench is provided to have excellent chemical resistance, especially resistance to acid, alkali, and organic solvents by applying a novel HPE to its surface. The anti-chemical upper plate for an experimental bench comprises a substrate and a HPE. The HPE consists of a core layer and an epoxy-resin impregnated layer from the bottom. The epoxy-resin impregnated layer is obtained by impregnating a printed paper with an epoxy resin mixture comprising epoxy acrylate resin and styrene monomers. Methylethylketone peroxide is used as a hardener of the epoxy resin. The core layer is a melamine-resin impregnated layer or a phenol-resin impregnated layer, or a combined laminate thereof.
