Provided are a rubber composition for a tire whose color is changed according to temperature, and a tire containing the composition. The rubber composition comprises 0.1-20 parts by weight of a thermochromic pigment based on 100 parts by weight of a source rubber. Preferably the source rubber is at least one selected from the group consisting of EPDM, a butyl rubber, a natural rubber, a styrene-butadiene rubber and a butadiene rubber.
